Abstract

Purpose:

The purpose of this paper is to identify the role of librarians in increasing systematic literature review and to be recognized as co-authors or contributors.

Methods:

The volume of systematic literature reviews published until 2010 and the volume of systematic literature reviews published between 2010 and 2019 were analyzed. We have clarified the meaning of each role and the Paper Author Checklist provided by the publisher. When systematic literature review was conducted, a literature review was conducted to explain the satisfaction level of collaboration between librarians and researchers.

Results:

The volume of publications on systematic literature review is increasing significantly, and publishers are demanding that authors be very specific. In particular, in the case of systematic literature review, the satisfaction of collaboration between librarians and researchers is increasing and it is recognized that it is necessary.

Conclusion:

Until now, the role of librarians has been provided by conducting high-level data search for systematic literature review in data retrieval, nevertheless the reality is that the role of librarians is not be recognized and also not be revealed as a contributor in the published paper in spite of its high satisfaction level. Active efforts are needed to be recognized as co-authors or contributors in the future.
