Abstract

Today, the development of science and information technology has brought about changes in various fields. As a social institution, Libraries should prepare the changes. The purpose of this study is to provide information services that reflect a rapidly changing society, IT and consumption trends in library operation. In order to achieve this purpose, the literature on the subject is reviewed and the application method was sought. This research examines changes in society and consumption trends, and will seek to apply them to library services. Specifically, ways to improving the libraries environment, constructing spaces, library services that reflect basic characteristics of information services and preparation of library of the future are suggested. The results of this study should be applied changes in society and technology to library operation, accommodate users' characteristics in library environment and spatial composition and they should actively reflect the basic properties of information services. Libraries and librarians should prepare various aspects related to digital and analog services, personal information problems, and library information services.
