Today's Internet has showed us that providing information is not something of a one-way street any longer but that it is now exchanged by two-way participation. 'Copyright', however, poses challenges to active information sharing. This paper contributes to our understanding of CCL (Creative Commons License) by bringing attention to this ideal alternative solution to the conflicts between information sharing and copyright. CCL has not been properly and broadly used because of lack of understanding until now. The goal of this paper is to make librarians aware of CCL by providing general information about CCL including the concept, composition, how to share a creative work through CCL, and range of use.
