Abstract

Following the unexpected appearance of COVID-19, this study aimed to investigate non-face-to-face realtime user education conducted at the Inje University Medical Library in the first half of 2020. Notably, the contents of non-face-to-face class support education in the medical library tailored for 99 sophomores in the medical department of Inje University, were divided into classes design, development of teaching materials, before and after classes, and the non-face-to-face education conducted directly in each course was compared to in-person education. The limitations of this study may be revealed in generalization considering the data have been explored and analyzed based on a total of five days of non-face-to-face real-time user education at the Inje University Medical Library. However, Based on this research, despite the emergence of the rapidly changing form of medical library user education, we hope that the staff responsible for user education of medical libraries can continue a necessary user education for medical researchers without losing or getting tired. We also hope that follow-up research on non-face-to-face education of medical libraries in the Post COVID-19.
