Abatract

Currently, the study of medicine is greatly divided in the differences between Oriental medicine and Western medicine. Not only is that the case, but most people depend more on Western medicine than Oriental medicine. Therefore, in order to study the development of Western medicine, we need to study the steady progress in its history. For example, we need to study 1) The history and consistent development of Western medicine 2) the medical history of the Middle and Near East 3) the medical history of mid-Asia and 4) Arabian medical history. Western medicine developed from Mesopotamia and Egypt. It then progressed to Asia and east of the Mediterranean Sea. After widely progressing in various countries. Western medicine was integrated as part of Western medicine to become what is known as Greek medicine. The father of medicine, Hippocrates, was from Greece. These findings are not from medical professionals. These are the findings of the studies and research of a medical librarian.
