국문

NLMC분류표는 의학 교육의 지원을 위한 자료들을 조직화 하기 위해서 개발된，그리고 약학과 약물학을 포함하는 정보자료를 분류하기 위해서 미국에서 가장 널리 사용되었던 초기의 분류표들로부터 기본적인 아이디어를 사용해서 1946년에 개발되었다. 본 연구의 목적은 NLMC의 구조가 약제학적 문헌을 어떻게 적응시키고 그 타당성을 결정하는지를 검토하고자 하는 것이다. 필자는 서지적 기록을 가지고 1,979종의 단행본에 매겨진 NLMC분류번호를 분석하였다. 이 분석한 결과는 NLMC의 구조가 하위류(sub-class) QV 701-835에 있어서 해당 문헌의 42%를 한데 모은 한편 나머지의 41%는 NLMC분류표 전체를 통해서 분산되 는 것으로 나타났다. 추가로 17%는 LCC로 분류되었다.
